SUNDAY MORNING

WEEKLY ATTENDANCE

NEW MORNING CELEBRATION

In 2022 we opened a new Adult Celebration at the ICF Wake Park. This new morning celebration is only in the Khmer language. The guests are adults from the surrounding areas of our ICF Community Campus, and the messages preached at this celebration are geared towards the specific challenges they face. In order to build relationships and encourage them, we break out into small groups and share personal stories.

“First, when I visited the villages, I saw a lot of violence and alcohol consumption. They had no regard for one another. When they began to attend our Sunday morning celebration, the entire family dynamic began to shift. I noticed they began to talk more nicely and took better care of each other. They have even begun to care for their neighbors and pray for one another.”

chanthy’s story

Chanthy was very sick.  The doctor informed his family that he was going to die within two hours, and advised his wife to prepare for the funeral. His family, including his wife, sister-in-law, and daughter, who is one of our ICF youth volunteers, began crying out to Jesus and pleading with Him to spare his life. However, the doctor said that they should not waste the money on another hospital, where there might be other treatment options. The family refused to believe what the doctor said because they believed that Jesus has power over everything. God took care of him during the six-hour drive to the other hospital and the surgery was successful. The doctor was surprised that the man had survived the journey because he also believed that the man might die before he arrived. Chanthy heard the doctor talk about his sickness. He also heard his family praying. He has now recovered and follows Jesus, attending church weekly. He has also decided to follow Jesus. He also removed all of his spirit shrines from his house and threw them into the water. Chanthy's family now wants to know more about Christ, and he, his wife and their teenage daughter all decided to get baptized in 2022.

After almost 2 years of not having celebrations in-person, we were able to reopen the church in 2022. It was a year full of God’s provision with more baptisms than ever before and more people attending the church than ever before. Check-out some highlights from our gatherings in 2022.

BIG 8
Over 2000 people came to celebrate our 8-year anniversary where we celebrated God’s goodness over the last eight years. After welcoming guests with a refreshing drink, we shared stories from leaders in all areas of our organization and enjoyed a beautiful dinner at the Wake Park.

ENCOUNTER NIGHT
We have a special time of worship every year at two Encounter Nights. Our goal is to create a space for people who seek God and experience his presence through prayer and worship. Through an encounter with God, we see lives transformed, hearts touched, relationships reconciled, and marriages restored. Approximately 120 people came to worship and experience freedom at our last encounter night.

”Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord.” Psalm 150:6

LADIES NIGHT
An annual event designed to help women understand their value and their potential to do things they think are impossible. They received a message from God about being brave, which was our theme for the event. They also had a good time at all of our stations before the message. They left more courageous than before, we pray.

Highlights

HOLY SPIRIT TEACHING
Last year we had a powerful preaching about the Holy Spirit. The message shared that the Holy Spirit is our helper and protector from evil spirits. With this powerful message we had many kids come to the stage for the first time to receive the blessing of the Holy Spirit and cut off their red band, a spiritual sign of Buddhism.

FORGIVENESS
A child’s parents shared with us, that after the message about sin their kids came home and said to the mom, even if you can not take good care of us we forgive you. The mom was so touched by this she began to cry. She has now started joining Church as well.

OUTREACH
We go to three villages around our Campus three times a week in the morning to share the gospel, pray with and encourage the kids to come to Kids Church on Sunday morning. We take time to listen to them and the problems they are experiencing to see where we can help.

We were finally able to resume meeting with our children at Kids Church on campus. We noticed that we sent fewer trucks than before COVID 19, but saw a significant increase in the number of kids joining. We now have an average weekly attendance of 505 kids and celebrated a record attendance of 800 kids in August.

“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity”.

1 Timothy 4:12

youth
ministry

We believe that youth are the future of the nation of Cambodia, however, many face very difficult situations that can easily pull them away from God. Few have loving, encouraging environments at home or access to a good education. Through our youth ministry, we intend to change their mindset so that they can see value and potential in themselves. We want to help people become strong Christians, so they can change their world.

Currently, around 300 teenagers are participating in our Oneighty Celebration. During our celebration, we have discussion groups to learn more about the topic of the preaching. This will ensure that the teenagers understand the preaching and can ask questions.

“ICF 180 Youth celebration is the best place for teenagers to come because there they experience true love and can connect to people who care. Because we believe that youth are the future of Cambodia and if we strengthen them in their faith and believe in their self they can't only influence their family, they even can transform the whole nation.” —Channa Phoung, Youth Coordinator

New Generation Internship

We have a New Generation Internship, which is a free 10-month course that teaches Biblical principles to the youth in our community. We have a weekly meeting for our scholarship students and youth from the area around our campus. Our goal is to invest in their daily life and help them grow as they serve others. We teach the youth about faith and leadership and help them apply what they learn in class to different areas of our church, especially the weekend celebrations.

Oneighty CAMP is an experience for teens to discover who Jesus is, what God intends for their life, and how they should live fearlessly.  It's the best time for them to hear the word of God, have fun, and see God's amazing creations with their friends and leaders.

Youth Camp

“I’m extremely happy to have the opportunity to join Camp 180. I received a lot of new experiences through this. Before I know Christ, my life was so hard. Wherever I went I felt unaccepted. I lacked confidence and was afraid to talk to new people. But as I got to know Jesus my life has been transformed. I now enjoy being around friends, family, and new people” –Sreymao

Testimonies from our youth

how they got brave and changed their lives:

“I didn’t know how to express my faith through worship. I was not brave enough to sing or to raise my hands, but now I love to worship and I have the opportunity to lead the children in worship on Sunday mornings. Whenever I start to feel shy, I pray to God to give me courage.”

Yun, NGI Student

“I was not brave enough to pray loudly of out my mind and to pray for other people but through NGI, I’m now hunger for praying for others and praying loudly”

Satcha

“I was a leader in my sports team but I’m not sure how to lead others, especially when I think I’m young but our NGI main Bible verse in 1 Timothy 4:12 had motivated me, God told me even I’m young but I can lead and I’m now a new generation leader”

Sreyreach

worship

Let The Prayer Rise was the first song that the ICF Cambodia Worship Team wrote back in 2020. In 2022, the song became the background of our first-ever dance music video.

We believe that this song will be a declaration and prayer over Cambodia, bringing hope to the common difficult situations depicted in the video. We hope that people who see this video would know that there is a real God who hears their prayers!
